Gained huge experience under the Youth Development Program headed by D.Edwin Charles, Head of the Youth Development Programme. 2, Worked very closely with the Chin Refugees, in the clustered regions of Uttam Nagar East and Uttam Nagar West in Delhi. Provided help and support and assisted the project in charge, Ms. Aradhna Pandey in giving vocational training to the Youth of the community. 3. Sensitized the youth on the structures of the governance process, inspiring them as agents of peace and conflict resolution, informing and engaging them in discussions on issues of social concern.4. Contributed in providing Life Skill Training for problem-solving, negotiation and daily living of the youth.5. Training on developing entrepreneurship skills along with Vocational Training for facilitating gainful employment was made possible to the unemployed refugees. 6. In-depth interviews were conducted and case studies made on their lives were recorded and collated as primary inputs for a research paper.Furthermore, It was a blissful moment for everyone when I was able to help a young girl Aasha, one of the (name changed) get a job as a tailoring trainer in Don Bosco, New Delhi. Counselled the underprivileged high school students about their choice of subject to be taken in their 12th Standard and help them dream higher than their limitations. 3. Providing counselling to the parents majorly mothers of the children with disability in building up their confidence to face reality and also teach them the required essentials needed to look after their children.4. Helping the programme Coordinator Smriti Pathak Gossain, with the adoption process of the abandoned children. 5. Translated letters in Hindi to English, drafted by the children to their respective Sponsors.6. Worked with Psyiotherapists, Speech Therapists, Occupational therapists and Special Educators in Bal Chetna in improvising teaching aids and techniques to provide a variety of stimuli for the specially-abled children. 7. Talked with the nearby schools to integrate the specially-abled children of Bal Chetna with the mainstream schools as well as institutes for advanced courses in vocational training.8. Volunteered for the midday meal and supplementary nutrition programme. 9. Distinct observations were made through case studies, meeting the children as well as their parents/guardians which resulted in effective implementation of the given programmes. Show less
