Managed the Energy Conversion Agreements and was acting as single point of contact for all issues related Commercial, Legal and Technical to the third party Cogeneration Company. The Energy Conversion Agreements covers four sites at Uthmaniyah Gas Plant, Shedgum Gas Plant, Juaymah Gas Plant and Ras Tanura Refinery where the third party generates power and steam to Saudi Aramco host plants for a contracted period of 20 years. The capacity of each site was 300MW of Power and 1,200 Million Pound of Steam except at RTR site where the power capacity was 150MW and the steam capacity was 650 Million Pound of Steam. Commercial issues include prior period adjustment of monthly invoices related to the Saudi Consumer Price Index adjustment and US Producer Index adjustment that are interlinked to the capital, O&M and Variable payments in the monthly invoices. Technical issues include the Net Dependable Capacity Tests that occur one month before the Commercial Operation Date for each facility.Legal issues include increased cost to the third party where we worked with the legal and financial teams to agree on the new tariff for the capacity payment to cover the increased cost. Developed agreed procedures as working procedures to streamline communication with the third party and to govern the operation between Saudi Aramco and the third party. These procedures include billing, dispatching, availability notices, maintenance and others. Show less Started with Saudi Aramco on March 1997 at Abqaiq area where I have worked at Abqaiq Power Distribution Division for two years field assignment under the Power Distribution Department. The field assignment included working with field crews in the power service, power relay and power cable and line to get familiar with maintenance and operation activities related to power distribution responsibilities. Power service relates to the maintenance and testing of power equipment including power transformers, power breakers and high voltage switchgear and its accessories. Power relay relates to the maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of mechanical or electronic type relays that are used to protect equipment and trip in case of fault in the power system. In September 1999, joined Abqaiq Power Distribution Engineering Unit working as a relay and operation engineer and did various relay setting for new and existing facilities. In September 2001 went for my Master's degree in Sweden and came back December 2003. On January 2004, joined Dhahran Power Distribution Engineering Unit and worked on the western region reliability assessment where the task was to identify obsolete equipment that needs to be replaced or upgraded to avoid any future spare and support problems by the manufacturers. Worked on the Performance Index Reliability Database web based application. This application was to automate logging and monitoring the reliability of the power system and recommend action of improvement to increase the overall availability of the power system. Worked on the development of the Settlement System and Fuel Demand Model to be used as a verification tool for the monthly payment of third party projects. This model is an automated way to calculate monthly payments of third party and to insure compliance of third party with the ECA payment appendix. Show less
