      Elected via city-wide ballot, the Charter Commission revised and updated Portland's City Charter. We successfully re-introduced a mayoral position to the Council-Manager format and instituted "Instant Runoff" voting for the mayoral election, among other things. Nominated as Secretary, I was heavily involved in drafting the powers and duties of the mayor and fitting that role within the established city framework.
