A small boutique CPA firm with a specialization in the following:A) Estate and trust planning and compliance, in addition to fiduciary accountings for Surrogates Court. This includes filing for portability purposes and representing clients on estate tax audits.Recently received a no change on an estate tax audit after numerous discussions with the IRS.B) Tax planning and compliance for individuals and small businessesC) IRS and NYS tax audit representation. Some recent successful tax audits:1) We successfully challenged a NYS tax domicile decision for a client when NYS determined that the individual was a resident. Our protest reversed the decision of the NYS audit department based upon the facts and circumstances presented in the case.2) We recently received a no change on an IRS desk audit despite the fact that the client had insufficient documentation, but was able to demonstrate reasonable cause for taking the tax deductions.3) We are currently working with the IRS Taxpayer Advocates office with respect to extending the statute of limitations on an lien for a deceased taxpayer that was negligent in filing his prior year tax returns. The IRS ceased substantial assets above the actual tax liability. Our objective is to recoup the refund due and use it against future years liabilities.D) Payroll and bookkeeping servicesE) Author of several professional articles written in the area of individual taxation as it relates to ways in which to mitigate the dreaded alternative minimum tax.F) Estate, trust, and individual tax planning for the non-traditional familyG) Industry specializations - Brokerage, entertainment, restaurants, fashion and lighting designers, and various other professional businesses.Employees on staff:Daron Van Wyk, CPAThomas S.
