      Project - Helicopter Rotor Blade Geometry Optimisation.The aim of the project is to optimize the blade planform in order to minimize overall rotor power consumption. It is envisaged that power savings could be achieved for a blade design such that the blade sections are operating at maximum aerodynamic efficiency. For this, a design space of different blade geometries needs to be investigated with varying blade taper, chord, and tip sweep angles. The active rotor solidity will be kept the same as the baseline rotor solidity for a fair comparison of performance effects. The optimization study is carried out in a Comprehensive Analysis tool, DYMORE and Spyder are used for the visualization of the data in a more self-explanatory manner. Python framework is being used for this project. Rotor blade structural loads, control pitch-link loads, and induced vibratory loads would be analyzed towards the end of the project to determine any negative side effects of the new proposed blade platform based on the optimization.
