      Research Intern

      This internship encompassed a comprehensive study of PUF technology, from theoretical foundations to practical implementation. The work involved designing and implementing multiple PUF variants on FPGA platforms, including the Zedboard and Pynq-Z2. A rigorous evaluation process was conducted, collecting and analyzing large datasets of Challenge-Response Pairs (CRPs) to assess PUF performance. The project also delved into machine learning techniques to test the resilience of PUF designs against modeling attacks. Furthermore, a novel hybrid PUF design was proposed, integrating multiple PUF types with challenge obfuscation and state-based activation to enhance security.Throughout this internship, I gained invaluable hands-on experience in hardware security, FPGA design, and advanced data analysis techniques. I developed proficiency in using industry-standard tools such as Vivado and Vitis for hardware design and implementation. The process of collecting and analyzing large datasets honed my skills in data management and statistical analysis. Additionally, exploring machine learning models for PUF evaluation deepened my understanding of the intersection between hardware security and artificial intelligence. This internship has not only expanded my technical skills but also provided me with a holistic view of the research and development process in the field of hardware security. Show less

      Tri-NIT Hackathon - Participation Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) NITK Apr 2024 In the Tri-NIT Hackathon, my team and I developed a deep learning model to detect road cracks. We started with an R-CNN model but switched to YOLO V8 for better results, fine-tuning it on the RDD2022_India dataset.We also built a server for inference and a client for real-time roadblock detection, creating a mobile-friendly PWA.       APITrix - First Place DAKSH, the techno-management festival of SASTRA University Nov 2023 Backend API Design Competition held by DAKSH during its Utsav event. The competition had a theme of "Military Satellite Tracking and Communication with Ground Stations," and I was tasked with designing an API for a simple defence application focused on tracking and communicating with military satellites within 150 minutes.My design stood out among the participants, and I was awarded a cash prize of 500 rupees and gift vouchers.
