  • Responsible for implementing, monitoring and supporting WAN, LAN and wireless technologies at multiple large corporate offices and over 400 remote offices.• Subject matter expert for wireless supporting over 3,500 access points with around 70 controllers.• Experienced in setting up and troubleshooting Cisco 5508/5520/8540/2504/3504/9800 wireless controllers.• Successfully configured/migrated our corporate headquarters from old 5508 WLCs to a pair of 9800s, consolidating from 4 standalone controllers to 1 HA pair.• Successfully migrated flexconnect wireless access points at 128 sites in one-night from 5508 WLCs to our new 8540 and 9800 WLCs. Automating the process with various scripts.• Created guides and led training sessions to bring other engineers up to speed on wireless configuration/troubleshooting and leveraging our tools.• Worked on multiple corporate acquisitions in a variety of roles, including core switch replacement, wireless migrations and various hardware/tooling changes.• Subject matter expert of the tooling team, which uses CA Performance Center, CA Spectrum, Cisco Prime and CA Network Flow Analysis (now DX NetOps) for performance monitoring, configuration archiving, configuration compliance and mass configuration deployments.• Built out a collection of policies that scan configurations for issues and audit violations with attached repair jobs.• Created automated discoveries that also sort devices into site containers.• Created a set of compliance jobs to automate audits of our larger sites saving engineering time and significantly reducing the time it took to complete the site reviews. • Customized Spectrum to display different device attributes to aid in auditing sim cards, signal strength, inventories and code version.• Experience in troubleshooting configuration archival issues in Spectrum.• Migrated and consolidated 4,000 devices across 3 TACACS servers down to one system.
