      I previously worked with ANCHO in Irvine for two years. I was employed as a trainee funded by The North Ayrshire Housing Trainee Programme. I was then employed as a Modern Apprenticeship after my placement which ended in March 2015. My contract was extended for another year. During my time working for ANCHO, I gained a lot of knowledge and experience. I achieved a SVQ Level 2 & SVQ Level 3 in Business and Admin and CIH Level 2 Certificate in Housing Practice within the two years.My Main duties were: • Answering the telephone and dealing with any enquiries the tenants had. This involved repairs, rent, housing applications etc.• I was in reception most days and I would greet clients at the door and attend to any queries they may have• Rent payments either on the phone or in person if I was on reception• Processing North Ayrshire Housing Applications either by paper form or online• Allocating void properties to applicants on The Common Housing Register.       I worked within Cunninghame Furniture Recycling Company which is a subsidiary company of CHA. I was responsible for managing the diaries for the collections and deliveries of pre-loved furniture which involved making sure the van drivers were carrying out their duties efficiently and effectively whilst ensuring the customers were receiving the best service.As I work well with people, I was allocated to the main showroom by my manager where I could greet customers at the door whilst still carrying out my administrative duties which included processing weekly banking, creating invoices, making job packs for the drivers, organising the van drivers routes and managing the diary for collections and deliveries. I spoke to a wide range of customers on a daily basis either face to face or on the telephone.I also processed sales with customer at the front desk and also covered sales when required and I worked overtime on Saturdays covering the shop floor.I was responsible for updating the company’s Facebook Page which involves advertising the furniture with eye-catching posts, making sure this would attract customer and answered sales and collections queries using my extensive customer service skills.       As always having a passion for art from a very young age, I wanted to develop my skills so I purchasing an IPad Pro and I-Pencil. I decided to draw a portrait of my late grandfather as a Christmas present for my mum and the rest was history. Once I had posted this on my social media platforms, I had hundreds of people wanting one to be made for them or their family members as a gift. I promoted my work using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. The most fulfilling thing about doing this freelance art is that I can draw people who are, sadly, not here anymore with family members which can be so heart warming to them and provide a sense of closure. Having doing this for many people, I decided to do one for myself with my late father who never got the watch me grow up. This gave me an understanding of how my customers felt whilst they received their personalised artwork and it was overwhelming. Show less
