  Assistant Principal for Stevenson Elementary School, a K-8 bilingual school on Chicago's Southwest side with over 1200 students. I lead the Middle School Branch Building, grades 7-8. My duties include monitoring daily operations, scheduling, instructional leadership, teacher and staff evaluation (REACH), developing and presenting professional development, data analysis, student behavior and discipline, parent and community engagement, and leading continuous improvement. Worked collaboratively as a member of the administrative team and led the MTSS and SEL work schoolwide. This included strategic planning, facilitated professional learning, partnered with and supported educators, and project management. As a Resident Principal, I received regular coaching and feedback for continuous improvement and leadership development.

  Provide coaching, professional learning, technical guidance and best practice resources to support district-wide implementation and continuous improvement in the areas of Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Serve as the primary intervention specialist and school contact for MTSS and SEL, and function as the school liaison between general education, psychological services and special education for compliance and due process issues related to students suspected of having impairments or disabilities. Support provided leverages concepts and strategies from educational research to help school teams strategically plan and execute the defined MTSS process and integrate SEL throughout the instructional day. Oversee the process of developing the district assessment calendar, including data analysis protocols and processes and synthesizing learning across the district.
