  Internship - service representative

  As a Service Representative, I assisted office visitors in preparing reports, appeal forms and Social Security Numbers (SSN) applications providing the needed information directly to them in person, in the phone and by correspondence. Throughout the entire period, the FBU staff provided ongoing technical training. I handled telephone inquiries and I took initial action to screen and input SSN application requests received electronically, through the mail or at the office window. I have always maintained the highest level of confidentiality when dealing with the large volume of sensitive information. In addition, I assisted with screening and responding to requests for earnings information from the Italian pension agencies the FBU works with. I investigated and took action on reclamation of erroneous payment made to banks. In conclusion, I assisted during official Embassy function (the 4th of July, the presidential visit at Villa Taverna during the G7) and with FBU outreach efforts. Show less
