    • Kaiser permanente

      May 2019 - Jun 2020

At Kaiser Permanente I am always working on interesting projects and having to keep up-to-date on the latest security threats. On a daily basis I research new vulnerabilities, test them against our infrastructure, and implement countermeasures against these vulnerabilities. This includes testing the latest detection signatures to assess if they are picking up current threats to Kaiser's network. I implemented an automated tool in python to research top level domains and gather reports on their threat levels against our known traffic, developed a GoLang tool that tests newly registered domains against company domains for likely imposter domains, and am currently working on a web application to allow the submission of credential dumps to our database to be analyzed and searchable on whether it has affected KP employees. While I have been able to work on many exciting projects within Kaiser, I have also had the pleasure of going to competitions and training through them as well. My team won first place in the latest SANS Netwars competition in Denver. I was also invited to the NetWars tournament of champions. I am currently part of the second group taking a new team based training through SANS (TBT570) that works on blue team and red team TTPs hands-on in a realistic business environment. Show less
