  • Education

    • I graduated from waseda university, the department of literature.

      1981 - 1988
      Bachelor of arts (b.a.) philosophy and history

      I would study Philosophy and History and when I was nine-teen years old after finishing the first year of the University I went to Mexico to learn Spanish and the history of Latin America for nine months. I received the scholarship from the Mexican Government as part of the exchange program.

      Activities and Societies: 語学研究所(英語、韓国語) 学生時代には哲学とラテンアメリカの歴史を中心に勉強しました。卒論のテーマは、ブラジルの「バルガスの新国家体制」です。ポルトガル語の文献を詳しく読み込みました。I majored in Philosophy and Latin American History in the Waseda University.By the time I graduated, I could speak five languages.

  • Experience

    • I have worked in one of the largest private patent offices in osaka for 7 years as a translator.

      Apr 1988 - Apr 1995
      I worked as an office clerk and an interpreter.

      I started my career in the private patent office as a researcher of the trademarks in respect of similarity. I would write more than three business letters every day to inform the clients of the results of the said research. Later on I moved to the translation department where I came to translate patent documents from Japanese into English and from other languages including Spanish, Portuguese and Korean and so forth.

      Multilingual translator & tour guide

      I use seven languages in working as a legal and technical translator. I am a Government-Licensed tour guide in English,Korean and Spanish.
