The main objective of this project was to study the impact of temperature on the Williams hybrid flywheel, by conducting a detailed research on the causes of heat generation in the flywheel, locating key components in the flywheel for temperature measurement, simulation by CATIA and Hypermesh to determine the displacement of each component material of the flywheel with respect to the operating temperature range. Therefore, estimating an overall disruption of the vacuum containment, leading to increased heat losses. Show less
