  Three-hour figure drawing sessions five days per week. Trained in the Florence Academy of Art’s methodology in the style of traditional masters. The program included weekly anatomy and art history lectures.Charcoal and pencil figure-drawing. Included reproduction of Brague drawings to learn about outline, proportion, value, and line quality.

  Trained in the visual arts methodology practiced by the Renaissance masters, such as Michelangelo and da Vinci, in order to transform three-dimensional objects into two-dimensional representations. The object of study began with plaster casts, then still lifes, and ultimately human figure drawing. Tools included charcoal, pencil, and oil. Later studies focused on the relationship between light and shadow, design, and composition. Attended guided art-history lectures through Florentine museums.
