      My work placement as part of my Graduate Challenge programme with the University of Gloucestershire. The placement offered me the opportunity to work in a busy environment with deadlines associated with the production of; newsletter articles, and the designing of various lay-outs. I was instrumental in the creation of the materials required in the organising, delivery and correlation of data for the annual conference. The ability to scrutinise the relevancy of data being forwarded to customers and partner agencies was of the utmost importance throughout my employment. Show less

      Responsible for a wide range of marketing, social media and publicity activities for The History Press' military, archaeology and sport titles.Notable achievements include:• Making a title with The History Press (THP) a Number 1 Bestseller on Nielsen BookScan with 425% growth in just one week • Created and implemented the award-winning @TitanicRealTime Twitter account to support Titanic centenary titles in Spring 2012. This received international coverage and had in excess of 111,000 followers.       My role is to lead in digital communications activity for NPCC, including monitoring and use of social media channels and website; and to contribute to the on-going development of NPCC digital communications / platforms. I manage day to day digital activity and ensure that output supports the NPCC’s communications strategy, business plan and linked activity, and that content is current, accurate and high quality.I create impactive audience specific content for digital channels including writing blogs, social media content and creating or commissioning video, graphics, and imagery. Central to my role is to update the NPCC website and newsroom, to ensure that it acts as an effective window on the NPCC’s work, contributing to positioning the NPCC as an open and transparent organisation. I support processes for evaluating the impact of our digital channels and engagement, tracking performance, and driving improvements.I act as a champion for brand, digital and editorial standards and communication processes, and ensure that colleagues in the NPCC hub and partners beyond adhere to branding and visual identify guidelines.
