  The Repository Operations Technician will perform assigned activities within the repository service operation. This position is responsible for the receipt, inventory, storage, withdraw, and shipping of biological specimens, samples, and materials, stored at temperatures ranging from ambient to -196°C, and having potentially hazardous properties from multiple commercial and government clients. This position uses database applications and standard precautionary procedures to work independently, be self-directed, communicate effectively, and make sound decisions. Work is performed following standard operating procedures and is routinely reviewed by the supervisor for accuracy and adherence to standards. This position requires some complexity and working knowledge of technical, operative or administrative methods and practices found within the biological repository industry. Show less
