      I enhanced professional development in English and Mathematics through school visits and targeted training programs for teachers in grades P1-P5. I managed a team of seven sector learning facilitators, ensuring effective program implementation across Gisagara district.Engaging stakeholders was crucial to our success. I collaborated with government officials, including Sector Education Inspectors and District Directors of Education, to align our initiatives with national education goals. I also organized meetings with school administration and teaching staff to evaluate and improve teaching techniques.Community involvement played a key role in my work. I trained community leaders and parents on social inclusion and provided guidance for families of children with learning difficulties or disabilities. By raising awareness and monitoring project progress, I engaged school committees to protect the well-being of all students, particularly girls and those with disabilities, fostering a more equitable education system. Show less In This role, Implementing BLF project in Gisagara District across 15 schools, managing 15 School leaders, more than 400 teachers , I ensured the successful implementation of project deadlines and objectives and ensured around 15,000 pupils benefited from the project. My responsibilities included conducting school visits to mentor primary school teachers in English and Mathematics, supporting their professional development, and contributing to weekly team review and capacity-building meetings.I was instrumental in training English and Mathematics teachers, as well as School Subject Leaders (SSLs) and HTs/DOSs, to enhance learning outcomes in Numeracy and Literacy for P1-P5 students. I actively led and participated in head teachers’ professional learning community (PLC) meetings, reporting on the progress of teacher development and providing logistical support for training and other professional development activities.I undertook school and community visits to gather accurate data on progress toward English and numeracy performance goals. I monitored the use of Building Learning Foundations toolkits, student books, essential classroom materials, and tech devices to ensure effective implementation. My role also involved engaging government officials, such as SEIs, DEOs, MINEDUC officials and other partners also coordinating meetings with school administration and teaching staff.Additionally, I trained teachers, HTs, SEIs, DEOs, as well as community leaders, Inclusive Education, gender-Responsive Pedagogy, Remedial and Catch up Program. I provided support for children with learning difficulties, disabilities, and their families, raised awareness on inclusive and special needs education, and ensured the protection of vulnerable children in schools and communities.       In overseeing the RwandaEQUIP program in Rulindo District, I ensured that program goals were met and deadlines adhered to through meticulous management and strategic planning. This involved regular school visits and joint assessments with SEIs, DEO, and other REB and NESA officials to gather feedback and evaluate the program’s success across schools.I led the development of a leveling program for Math and English subjects for P4 to P6 students, customizing content to help pupils reach grade-level proficiency. Building strong relationships with Headteachers, Directors of Studies, and SEIs through ongoing communication and coaching was crucial in driving the program’s success and fostering a supportive educational environment.Collaborating closely with instructional designers and the academic team, I reviewed and aligned lesson plans, curriculum development, content materials, timetables, and schemes of work with the Rwanda Competency Curriculum (CBC) and government objectives. This alignment ensured that the RwandaEQUIP lessons were both relevant and effective in meeting educational standards.To maximize the program’s impact, I provided induction training for over 200 headteachers, 150 Directors of Studies, and 40+ teachers on RwandaEQUIP’s tech-enabled tools. I also conducted comprehensive teacher observations and utilized data analysis to drive performance improvements and implement strategies for student engagement and academic success.       This is the Rwanda Government Special Program in partnership with World Bank that aims at training all Uncertified Pre-Primary and Primary teachers in Rwanda to be fully certified and qualified to teach Pre-primary and Primary schools in RwandaI am responsible for training uncertified teachers in Rwanda to achieve full certification, enabling them to teach in Pre-Primary and Primary schools. This involved equipping teachers with essential pedagogical skills and knowledge, including instruction methods, educational psychology, and inclusive education practices. The training aims to enhance their teaching abilities and prepare them to meet the standards required for certification.In addition to certification preparation, I focuses on building teachers’ capacity in learner-centered teaching approaches. This include training on how to effectively implement these methods in the classroom to maximize student learning. Teachers are also guided on how to develop excellent lesson plans and create and utilize teaching aids effectively.Throughout the training process, I monitor teachers’ attendance and engagement to ensure their active participation and progress. This oversight is crucial for maintaining the quality of training and ensuring that teachers can apply their newly acquired skills effectively in their classroom settings. Show less
