  Worked part time in domestic construction as a labourer for various trades including concreters, brick layers, plasterers, carpenters, ceiling fixers and roof tilers. Also undertook scaffolding, demolition and other general labourer duties for the builder.

  Worked on a variety of large and small civil and mining projects. Larger site investigation projects include Brockman 4 Phase 2 and the Wheatstone gas plant. Also did extensive earthworks monitoring for a variety of subdivisions around Perth.

  Geotechnical Engineer

  Spent the first 6 months of my time at GHD working on Mount Gibson's Koolan island mine doing earthworks monitoring for the sea wall levy. The levy comprised of a 180m earth dam founded on soft marine deposits. Sourcing of materials on the island, as well as coordinating works around the ocean tide variations (greater than 10m) were key challenges for the project.Spent the remainder of my time at GHD working on the Bungaroo integration Project for the Water Corporation. Project primarily involved geotechnical investigation and reporting for 70km of proposed buried water main. Show less
