  Jacos SAGD processing facility► Ran 6 crews with 10-12 people per crew (2 welders per crew). At end of project oversaw crew of 12 people comprised of pipefitters, millwrights, instrumentation, and glycol heat tracers to perform deficiency work and small amounts of commissioning.► Utilized computer skills to do time sheets, rfis, and progress reports. Handled a variety of activities spanning critical lift plans, operation permits, weld mapping, making work packs, attending daily meeting with other trades/supers, and client reps.► Provided all install and testing of process and utility piping/supports/testing/install of pumps and commissioning with millwrights.   North Wood Pulp Mill Shutdown► Ran a crew of up to 5 people on a shutdown where we had to pull out 2 -42” knife gate valves in an underground pit. These valves would discharge the influent ponds. Organized operations permits (written and signed-off); held meetings; and worked with cranes to remove and install new valves.

  Aecon – 8A/6B Enbridge Compressor Stations ► Tasked with running crews up to 25 pipefitters and 5 welders for a project to upgrade natural compressor stations. Remained with the project until the end, working closely with operations and helping with commissioning activities. ► Worked with the supers and general foreman to create a daily plan to be executed and perform toolbox. Tasked to write-up and have all permits approved and signed by operations for work each day. ► Worked with coordinators and quality control to get red lining as-built welding procedures and documentation signed-off and approved for turnover.► Utilized cranes, zoom booms, and other equipment to facilitate the install of all new pipes and compressor for the multiple tie-in points to the existing pipeline and facilities.► Hydrotesting was performed on all lines with water samples taken of all water on-site and approved by operations to be used or discharged. ► Monitored and wrote permits for multiple other contractors to facilitate access to site such as hydro vac/water trucks/fuel trucks/material delivery/site services.   ► Provided strong, decisive leadership to crews at max of up to 25 people (4 of them welders) on a new construction project with approx. 12 tie-in points to the existing facility. Installed/tested and commissioned all process piping and pumps to facilitate unloading of diesel (trains to tanks) and loading (onto ships).► Oversaw installation of fire suppression foam water cannon system. Took on a civil role in building and decommissioning a temporary containment berm due to the facility still being in operation.► Utilized industrial air compressors to send foam pigs down the underground section of the diesel line to remove trapped water from hydro testing. Installed kilometers of welded track pan to catch spilt diesel from the trains.► Worked with crane operators to facilitate any lifts needed, some of which were considered critical due to the sections of the terminal in which work was being conducted.► Collaborated closely with day shift supers and general foreman in making detailed plans. Held toolbox meetings with operations and the workers to go over tasks to be completed. Spoke to each group individually with more detailed information on the task and signed FLHA cards.► Prepared detailed progress reports and weld mapping. Filled out operation permits to be approved by Pembina for the work to be done each night. Show less
