      Founded in 2010, Honors Engaged places Honors first-year students with one of fourteen community partners for weekly engagement during their first year. Following the service-learning model, the project is designed to integrate classroom experiences with outreach that has measurable impact in the Charleston community.As the Student Director, I oversaw our ten community partnerships and led a staff of eight students. Along with our director, Dean Folds-Bennett, I developed a service-learning curriculum while maintaining and recruiting new partnerships in the community.       The Enough Project works to end genocide and crimes against humanity in the Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, and Sudan. As a Communications Intern, I monitored news developments and summarized these findings daily for my supervisor. In addition, I operated social media sites for the Enough Project through Facebook, Twitter, and Hootsuite. I gained experience composing press releases and media pitches for forthcoming reports.
