    • The stanley h. king counseling institute

      -

The Stanley H. King Counseling Institute offers a model of teaching counseling and listening skills to teachers, advisors, administrators, and other school personnel. Our goal is not to train professional counselors, but to help teachers strengthen and deepen their relationships with students. Participants learn to help students with the range of developmental issues, as well as to recognize serious psychological difficulty and seek appropriate help.

      -

"Our work with writing begins with a commitment to structuring schools so that students have time to write, both long chunks of time to work as professional authors do, cycling through the stages of the writing process and receiving the feedback that is so essential to student growth, and also quick bursts of time for writing as a tool for learning across the curriculum."http://readingandwritingproject.com/professional-development/k-8-writing.html
