  Instructional Technology Coordinator

  I served as the Instructional Technology Coordinator for the Centralia R-VI School District from August 2007 - December 2013. As the Instructional Technology Coordinator I trained teachers through formal eMINTS programs, informal after-school sessions, and summer academies. During these sessions I provided staff with ideas on how to utilize various technologies such as classroom websites/Moodle classrooms, organizing online resources, and implementing constructivist instructional strategies within their classrooms. If needed, I assisted the teachers directly in their classroom by either teaching or team-teaching technology based lessons.Along with supervising a staff of 3-5 full time employees and 3-8 student apprentices, I maintained and supervised the district's Help Desk Ticket System. I worked with teachers to ensure that issues were resolved in a timely manner. Other duties included maintaining the district's website, Moodle, mobile app, and e-newsletter. Show less

  As part of this position, I work with faculty to develop online learning environments, create course/faculty videos, and assist faculty with creating an additional educational resource they want for their courses. As an Instructional Designer, I look for creative ways to introduce and reinforce information that students are exposed to within the textbooks and online environment. From the use of text-based lectures, videos, role-play, and interactive features, I strive to create positive learning environments for students and instructors. Starting in November of 2016, I was given the additional responsibility of being a Team Lead. As a Team Lead, I supervised a team of four Instructional Designers and completed additional projects.
