  As the Regional Operating Officer I was responsible for underwriting results for the Northwest Region (Northern CA, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho and Montana) for Travelers Middle Market with a written premium of approximately $250,000,000. Reporting to the Middle Market Vice President with a matrix reporting relationship to the National Underwriting Officer located in Hartford, CT (Home Office) I worked closely with our Managing Directors setting and implementing strategy, tactics, monitoring our execution, driving business planning and budgeting as well as collaborating with underwriters on over-authority Casualty deals.   Reporting to the Chief Underwriting Officer for Middle Market in Hartford, CT I am responsible for underwriting results for Middle Market for the Central (IL, WI) , Pacific (CA, HI), Mountain West (OR, WA, AK, MT, ID, AZ, CO) and Upper Midwest (MN, MO, SD, ND, NE, IA) Regions. I work closely with the Regional Operating Officer's and Commercial Account Group Vice Presidents setting and implementing strategy to meet our business plan objectives.
