The successful completion of this project will lead to a cutting method that is cheaper, faster, and safer than the existing methods. This can have a significant contribution in reducing the manufacturing cost of steel infrastructures and marine structures as well as reducing the removal and recycling cost of offshore structures. As a Post Doctoral Mechanical Engineering Researcher at the University of Manchester's Particle Physics Group, I specialize in the protection for the Anode Planes for the international Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE). These frames, equipped with 150 μm readout wires, demand sub-mm precision control for operation in liquid argon at -186°C, a mile underground at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in South Dakota. In my role, I oversee the safe transport of frames from the UK manufacturing site to SURF, ensuring their integration into the argon cryostat and collaboration with other detector subsystems. My extensive engineering background and attention to detail enable me to excel in this challenging environment. As a key project contributor, I've become a visiting Scientist at CERN's Neutrino Platform’s R&D facility and traveled to experimental sites worldwide. This exposure has fostered effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.Dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge, I've established solid connections with international partners, serving as a point of contact and ensuring seamless communication. Prioritizing safety and compliance, I uphold the highest standards in health and safety, contributing to the well-being of project participants.Continuously seeking professional growth, I remain open to new opportunities within the Particle Physics community and other relevant research projects. Committed to making a difference, I aim to contribute significantly to both the field of particle physics and the University of Manchester. Show less

In my position as a Postdoctoral R&D Engineering Fellow at CERN's Accelerators Systems Department (SY), I contributed to the Sources, Targets, and Interactions Group, focusing on beam-intercepting devices within the accelerator complex. My role involved simulations, to enhance mechanical connections and cooling systems. I lead material characterization studies, and specialize in thermomechanical and structural dynamic analysis, as well as design of beam intercepting devices for the FCCee feasibility study. Focusing on; windows, absorbers, and dumps. Applying LS-Dyna, Ansys Mechanical Workbench, and MATLAB to tackle complex numerical models and integrate 3D designs for optimal results.#AcceleratorSystems #Simulations #MechanicalDesign #CERN Show less

📘 Teaching Areas:I am committed to providing students with practical, industry-relevant skills through courses in:• Mechanical Engineering: Exploring core principles and advanced problem-solving techniques.• Machine Technology: Investigating cutting-edge tools and systems for engineering innovation.• Sustainable Energy: Guiding future professionals in renewable energy technologies for a greener tomorrow.🔬 Research Interests:My current research focuses on advancing sustainable practices and technical innovation in offshore and energy industries. These efforts build on my prior academic and professional research, which explored:• Development of Cryogenic Cooling and Cutting System (CCCS): Investigated the Ductile to Brittle Transition Temperature (DBTT) in carbon steel grades to create efficient cutting methods for offshore monopile decommissioning. This method significantly reduces cutting time, energy consumption, and environmental impacts by leveraging liquid nitrogen cooling to embrittle steel before impact.• Sustainable Offshore Decommissioning: Pioneered approaches to reduce the cost and CO2 footprint of offshore wind turbine decommissioning by up to 25%, demonstrating potential savings in operational timelines and environmental impacts.• Finite Difference Modelling (FDM): Developed models to predict cooling times and fracture propagation, optimizing the cryogenic cutting process for applications in offshore foundation removal. These areas align with my commitment to improving efficiency and sustainability in engineering practices while reducing ecological impacts across the energy sector.
