  IT Infrastructure Manager for México and Personal Computing & collaboration Manager LA (2008-2012)Responsible for an operating budget of $4.8 million dollars and 8 people staff. The main responsibilities included management, renewal and continuous improvement in the entire infrastructure in Mexico in order to ensure business continuity in DuPont Mexico. I was responsible for managing the help desk contract for end user support with a staff of 28 people and 5 account managers. Responsibilities and achievements to be highlighted:• Coordinate a project for the integration of 8 different help desks in different countries of LA and consolidate them into 2 suppliers through a strategic alliance achieving savings by 400 M USD.• Coordinate an implementation of virtual servers and the renewal of the backup systems for DuPont Mexico, reducing operating cost of 30% and increasing the performance of the services by 35%.• Lead and coordinate annual audits on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) for Information Technology infrastructure.• Coordinate the change of the main Fiber Optic of the painting plant in Tlalnepantla. Due to physical damage that put at risk the operation of the plant.• Coordinate the implementation of Information Technology infrastructure in a new DuPont's distribution center which had allocated a budget of 220 M USD for IT services such as telephony, wiring, connectivity (LAN/WAN), printing and conectivity in the conference rooms. These projects were focused on developing and implementing strategies for improvement and standardization of processes and quality, as well as costs reduction in different business units.Responsibilities and achievements to be highlighted:• Lead a team of 20 people in 6 countries in Latin America to develop and implement a regional project focused on optimizing and reducing the fix and variable cost of printing, Fax, copy and scan in all busines units and functions through the negotiation of a regional contract to optimize the processes, resources and eliminating unnecessary or duplicate costs of maintenance, spare parts and devices. The project left an annual savings of $ 340 M as result of standardization and optimization of the devices and printing resources.• Lead a team of 15 people in 6 countries in Latin America to develop and implement a regional project focused on improving and optimizing the control in purchasing and approval processes of technological devices for business and functions. The project left a 220 M USD annual savings as a result of a process standarization.   Responsible for implementing and administering technologies to protect and safeguard electronic assets from cyber-attacks and to ensure 99% availability of data centers.- Coordinate basic antivirus (defender) migration, to a robust technology (McAfee) in approximately 2000 computer equipment in LATAM and 11000 globally.- Coordinate the construction of a new data center, installing fire extinguish systems, air conditioning, sensors and alarms, access controls and video surveillance, energy backup equipment and emergency plant.
