  Started my job at Rockwell Int. as a CNC Machinist, running both CNC Mills and Lathes as a member of the UAW.Later moved into Production Planning where I was introduced to my first computer, the IPM PC-XT which had a built in BASIC interpreter.I became obsessed with learning how to program and eventually designed, developed and implemented the PC software that Production Planning used to generate their manufacturing orders.Later was given a barcode data collection project to collect data from the manufacturing shop floor.I added the ability to print barcodes on the manufacturing ordersI designed, developed and implemented the software to poll approx. 200 barcode reading devices in manufacturing using the barcoded data on the manufacturing orders, creating a transaction and updating the IBM 8100 mid-range computer. I also wrote the COBOL program on the 8100 that collected the transaction data and processed it.By the time I was laid off in 1994 I had mastered BASIC, COBOL, and real mode Assembly language.   • Worked at county data center centralized server environment with strict ITSM service requirements.• Extensive use of Orion for server monitoring and ServiceNow for the ticketing system.• Extensive use of PowerShell for automating tasks and creating reports in Excel.• Engineered folder redirection with offline files into a DFS-N environment with 15+ namespaces and approx. 10Tb of data.• Scripted the process of moving user data off their workstations to the new namespaces and setting the NTFS permissions so the users didn't have to wait for their files to be moved, saving MANY hours of lost time waiting for the process to complete naturally.• Extensive use of Wireshark to capture IP addresses and TCP/UDP ports on servers being decommissioned, greatly reducing the amount of 'unforeseen' consequences.• Built several Windows 2012 R2 domain controllers, replacing all the 2003 DC's.• Removed the last 3 Exchange 2003 servers.• Handled all the eDiscovery requests that came in from the County where I used the PowerShell command Search-Mailbox with the Advanced Query Syntax AQS.• Recreated most of the GPO's, replacing Kix scripts with preference items.• Kept their Active Directory consisting of over 50 domain controllers healthy and up to date.• P2V’d and V2V’d several physical and virtual servers to the Cisco UCS VMware environment.• Worked with other contracting company’s onsite that managed the storage and network environment.• Worked at the Child Support Services agency for approx. 8 months as a helpdesk/desktop support technician. • Also build a Lync 2013 and Windows 2012 R2 print server while working at CSS in a Hyper-V virtual platform.
