      I am a material scientist, specializing in polymeric materials, tissue engineering and microfluidics. I am a postgraduate researcher at the UCL Biomaterials Processing Laboratory, where I currently design and manufacture protein-based tissue scaffolds to mimic extracellular matrix to regenerate tissue in vitro. I have primarily worked with natural polymers such as BSA and gelatin. I am also specialized in microfluidic device modification to reduce the size of microbubbles which can be potentially used as ultrasound contrast agents. Show less

      UCL-Hacettepe collaborative research exchange programme Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) Oct 2018 This is the very first research collaborative programme, which was funded by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey to exchange research students and to establish a microfluidic laboratory in the University of Hacettepe and further strengthen the research collaboration between UCL and School of Pharmacy in the University of Hacettepe. I have been chosen as the first research exchange student among 25 Ph.D. students in UCL, due to my expertise in microfluidic research… Show more This is the very first research collaborative programme, which was funded by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey to exchange research students and to establish a microfluidic laboratory in the University of Hacettepe and further strengthen the research collaboration between UCL and School of Pharmacy in the University of Hacettepe. I have been chosen as the first research exchange student among 25 Ph.D. students in UCL, due to my expertise in microfluidic research, to establish a microfluidic laboratory at the University of Hacettepe. Meanwhile, I conducted preliminary experiments using the newly made microfluidic setup and the following bio-interface interaction was examed in the school of pharmacy at the University of Hacettepe. This prize only awards to 1 Ph.D. student among 150 research students.
