  I was a member of Basu lab at Kent State University as an undergraduate researcher. My research was about the in vitro study of neuronal oligodendrocyte cells mimicking Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I studied the myelination, demyelination, and remyelination model of the mature oligodendrocytes (MO3) cells. I conducted protein, lipid, and RNA analysis on the myelin-related components. The ultimate objective of this project is to develop a model for an increase in myelin production in diseased neuronal cells. I defended my honors research thesis on this research topic. Show less

  Summer undergraduate research experience (sure)

  I worked with Dr. Edgar Kooijman as the student researcher for the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience 2020 program. I conducted a literature search and article reviews on the interaction of perilipin proteins and lipid droplets in relation to hepatic steatosis. I Presented the findings in the SURE Three-minute Thesis presentation at the end of the program.

  As a secretary of the KSU Biotechnology club, I keep track of the ideas and activities discussed in the meetings. I am involved in brainstorming and laying the foundations for the upcoming programs and meetings. I played an active role in the successful hosting of Biotechnology Movie nights and Biotechnology Bingo events.

  I am a graduate Student Researcher in Shen Lab at Kent State University. Currently, my research involves the study of the catalysis of gold nanoparticles via single molecule microscopy. I was the teaching Assitant for General Chemistry I Laboratory. I was responsible for teaching the Lab session and grading the lab assignments.
