This research was the basis for my senior thesis. My paper synthesized an examination of Moroccan family law (the Moudawana) with women's lived experiences and opinions on various topics such as abortion, premarital relations, marriage, and divorce. The objective was to extrapolate social receptivity to the print law and to better understand the function (or dysfunction) of the law within society. I was honored to be the only International Studies Major in my graduating year to receive distinction for my exercise. Show less
