As a GIS Analyst I supported multiple disciplines in the management and analysis of landscape data variables. This included creating accurate and precise geospatial data products such as hydrologic flow and flood models, supervised image classifications and project impact/development metrics. Collaboration was central to my work, as I regularly communicated and worked alongside diverse project teams to ensure accurate and timely deliverables. I also have hands-on experience with field data collection, including GPS and GIS data, to complement and enhance project outputs. Show less As a Project Coordinator, I contributed to the successful delivery of projects by supporting project management best practices and maintaining strong communication with clients and stakeholders. My role included assisting with the preparation, monitoring, and updating of essential project documentation, such as project management plans, risk management plans, health and safety plans, and more.I played a key role in tracking project progress, including tracking budgets, variance analysis, and cost forecasting. I helped to ensure projects were on track and within budget. I assisted Project Managers with monthly reviews, invoicing, and project change management, helping to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and client expectations. My experience also included updating project schedules, coordinating logistics and mobilization of field crews, and liaising with internal teams to support smooth project execution. I participated in the preparation of proposals, reports and ad-hoc documentation, contributing to the overall success of project delivery. Show less

As a GIS Instructor at SAIT with over 15 years of teaching experience I bring a deep passion for geospatial technology and a dedication to student success. I design and deliver engaging, hands-on courses that give students the skills and knowledge they need to be successful in the geospatial industry. My teaching experience spans in-person classroom settings, online learning platforms, hybrid courses, and practical, field-based instruction, allowing me to adapt my approach to meet the needs of diverse learners. I was nominated by my students for a teaching excellence award in 2016 and 2024.In addition to teaching GIS fundamentals, concepts and advanced level analysis, I actively support students' career development by offering resume reviews and workshops, interview coaching, and job search guidance. I work one-on-one with students to ensure they are well-prepared to enter the workforce.I collaborate with faculty colleagues to ensure consistency across course sections and contribute to curriculum development that aligns with SAIT’s academic standards and the needs of the geospatial industry. My ability to communicate complex concepts clearly enables me to effectively engage students and enhance their learning experience. Show less
