  During the years at Oracle, which is a Global IT company, I did business reviews in many countries and implemented aligned processes and procedure. In 2007 the local finance organization was closed down and the tasks moved to Shared Service Centers in Ireland, Rumania and India. As the processes and communication did work I was asked to take over the responsibility as Country Finance Director for Oracle Denmark and Norway.Main results:I managed a virtual team of 8-10 employees in SSC in five different countries: Procurement to Pay in India, Credit & Collections, Contracts, Compensation and HR in Rumania and Controlling, Taxes, Merger & Acquisitions in Ireland. I was also responsible for Payroll in Denmark and Norway. To me it is a strong priority to build relationship, trust and team spirit in the virtual teams. That has given me both theoretical and practical experiences on motivation and management across borders and cultures. Show less In 2006 I was offered a position as Strategic Finance Manager for Nordics as the Danish Consulting organization became part of a Nordic organization.One of the targets was to align processes across Nordics and to develop standard reports and KPIs to measure the business performance across Western Europe. Main results:I developed a new strategy in corporation with the Consulting Director, which meant that tactical work like programming and interfaces were outsourced to low-cost resources in India. Local consultants were trained to handle more strategic tasks.I defined clear tasks and responsibilities for the Nordic forecasting process and created tools and control functions to ensure the quality. The processes involve employees in other lines of businesses and across countries. I handed over the responsibility for The Month End Close activities to the Shared Service Center in Bangalore, India and trained them to understand and handle different issues. Show less While I was working as Project/Program Manager I noticed that our operational processes were not working. E.g. many customer billable hours were not invoiced due to process issues. When I suggested improvements to the processes I was asked to take over the responsibility as Operations Manager.At that time the Project Accounting team had been moved to a Shared Service Center in Dublin but the corporation between the Shared Service Center and the local business was not working. Main results:I developed and implemented processes and quality checks to ensure revenue and cost and build relationships with the Shared Service Center.In 2004 the SSC was moved from Ireland to India and I continued the work with the new team. My responsibility also included budgets and forecasts.The performance of my team significantly improved revenue and margin of the business. Show less During my years as consultant I mainly worked at Project Office at three large projects: Direktoratet for Fødevarer Erhverv (DFFE), Telia and TDC.At Telia and TDC I became responsible for the financial program management, which meant that I kept control and overview of all contracts and invoices and had to manage the relationship to the customers finance group.Main results:The improved project control lead to better project margin and increased customer satisfaction.I joined a nine month training program for Project Managers and was trained in professional implementation methods.As a consultant I also spend six month developing and implementing Project Quality Reviews for the Danish consulting organization.
