  IQbusiness is South Africa’s largest independent management consulting firm serving mostly the financial services industry. Since October 2015 Pieter has been consulting to a number of IQbusiness’s banking clients, most notably:Absa bank’s Cyber Security Office, where Pieter was responsible for managing a programme to establish a National Cyber Security Operations Centre for the bank. This initiative comprised the customisation of, and implementation across the enterprise of several Cyber Security Solutions. To ensure successful on time delivery Pieter had to manage several concurrent work steams, establish and maintain third party vendor relationships, lead geographically dispersed teams and most importantly, garner support for the various initiatives from multiple senior stakeholders across the bank.Absa Bank’s Financial Crime Office. Pieter has a proven track record of leading recovery work on underperforming initiatives and he was required to review and evaluate the challenged Absa Bank Fincrime Regulatory Compliance Programme and to re-establish traction on the programme. He achieved this by formulating a tailored delivery strategy for each project in the portfolio, by introducing a comprehensive change control strategy, and by encouraging team work between culturally diverse and dispersed teams.Nedbank: At Nedbank Pieter was responsible for managing a portfolio of regulatory compliance remediation projects. He facilitated workshops between business and technical resources where remedial solutions to a comprehensive list of audit findings were considered. And developed detailed project plans for managing the execution of remedial activities by local and on site teams at the bank’s subsidiaries in Malawi and Lesotho. In addition he supported Nedbank's executive management team with programme governance best practise insight and direction. Show less
