  As Environmental Director for HDR's Power, Industrial and Waste Sectors, Rona is responsible for implementation of a market-sector focused environmental sciences and planning program. She collaborates with Cross Sector and Market Sector Directors for resource allocation, key hires, quality control, and technical excellence. Duties include identifying and promoting market sectors’ priorities and raising HDR’s technical excellence in the environmental sciences and fostering growth strategies through geographic and market sector expansion. Rona works with market sector leaders, technical staff and clients to integrate environmental strategy and project delivery, and serves in key leadership roles on select projects. Show less Rona Spellecacy is a senior environmental planner and project manager with HDR in Seattle, Washington. She excels at leading large, multi-disciplinary teams and has managed projects with fees exceeding $10 Million. Rona received her MA in political science and environmental studies from Western Washington University, and holds BA degrees in biology and anthropology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Rona was recently elected President of the National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP), and is a Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) by the Academy of Board Certified Environmental Professionals (ABCEP). She is a member of the American Planning Association (APA) and holds certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). Rona is also certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.
