Mar 2002 - Mar 2010Directly supported the CEOs office during a time of organisational transition and worked alongside policy, marketing and press office teams. I was Team Leader to 4 Administration Support Officers, managed the diary for Directors and prepared papers for Board meetings. I also took ownership for sourcing and managing a new local hospitality contract which delivered savings. Promoted into this role, I managed my own caseload of referrals, analysed data, and worked in close partnership with agencies to build fraud cases. I checked intelligence, prepared prosecution reports for court, and attended court hearings with investigators. Recognising the scope for improving efficiency, I created a new archiving system for 200 files. I also completed 3 Counter-Fraud Accreditation Courses (PINS). My first role in public sector, I supported 6 benefits officers with data entry, filing and diary management, whilst gaining a valuable insight into this sector and benefits administration.

Nov 2012 - Mar 2019Co-managing the DWP Work Programme contract in the South East region, I supported senior leaders in all business areas, managed business operations across 2 sites and a caseload of 40 clients. I proactively built strong relationships in the local economy and made it as easy as possible for local employers to recruit our clients to fill their employment vacancies. I also worked in close collaboration with our contract partner G4S, and made sure we remained on track to meet our contractual obligations. I analysed performance trends in the sector, and produced detailed monthly reports for the Operations Director to demonstrate P&L, weekly and monthly forecasts. Co-managing a team of dedicated employment coaches, I supported and coached where needed and chaired weekly meetings. During the last year of this contract, I was selected to lead the business as the contract wound down, and became the point of contact for all relationships, people and managers - taking ownership of all matters to ensure its successful completion. Show less APM are an international organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people and offer services in employment, accreditation and skills training to improve people's wellbeing and health at work. As Employment Coach, I delivered the 'Welfare to Work Programme' on behalf of the DWP and managed a caseload of 250 long-term unemployed individuals. I worked closely with young adults who were not in education or employment as well as individuals with complex situations including mental health illness, ex-offenders and homelessness. Committed to helping each and every one of my clients, I built strong relationships in the community to help support them, created bespoke action plans and supported clients with job applications and interview preparation. This level of dedication led to high numbers moving into employment, and I was awarded an 'Internal Values Award' for consistently exceeding in my role.
