      Apr 1994 - Dec 2002
      Senior Design Technician

While at MTCo, I worked mainly on Caltrans PS+E packages. I worked on the geometrics design for two very large, multi agency roadway projects. I prepared engineering Calculations and Quantity-takeoffs on many projects. Most of my time was preparing Plans, Specs, Probable opinion of construction costs, and Exhibits for these roadway or streetscape projects. Since MTCo was the prime consultants on the vast majority of these projects, I coordinated the submittal packages with our subconsultants. With my years of Caltrans CADD standards experience, I not only transferred AutoCAD files into MicroStation while adhering to company and Caltrans standards, but also trained CAD drafters from all MTCo offices.I worked at creating and maintaining company wide Drafting standards.I enjoyed the occasional professional networking on behalf of the firm, often at WTS events. • PGAdesign

      Sept 2005 - Mar 2014
      Landscape Designer

My primary role at PGAdesgn was to manage and coordinate large multi-agency transportation work. I also worked on streetscape, civic, housing, and parks projects, as part of the project team. I handled all aspects of these projects, from reviewing invoices and managing staff, to creating illustrative exhibits thru Construction Documents, to performing field work, and Construction administration tasks. At PGAdesign, I was able to occasionally do some lite marketing and professional networking. In my spare time, I am very active in Watershed related volunteer groups. I was on steering committee of Alameda County Watershed Forum, and co-coordinated their quarterly events. I presented at Annual Conference, and to the ACWF on behalf of Friends of the Arroyos, also was site capitan at their creek clean up events. Recently, I was on the Advisory group for the Tri-Valley Adopt a Creek Spot, and was the Site Capitan at our kick off clean up event. This rewarding program is rapidly growing, proving that folks in the Tri-Valley area are indeed very interested in keeping their creeks and arroyos healthy. Two years our front yard was on the Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour as a Host Garden. This year I helped at another site as Garden Assistant. I had completed the redesigned low water use, California native plants, and wildlife friendly re-design of our site in 2006. Since then the plants have become established, and the yard is a great way to share with others my passion for reduced water use and stormwater runoff pollution awareness.Being the spokesperson for our grassroots group, Save The Hill, has led me to increase my knowledge of CA planning and CEQA processes, and threatened wildlife in the Tri-Valley area, while organizing and leading a group of concerned citizens.
