  ELP Bx was founded on the fundamental principle of enhancing racial equity, opportunities, and social capital available to our scholars in the So. Bronx. We know that our scholars are ready to be the leaders of tomorrow if we provide them with access to the necessary opportunities, networks, and skills to reach their full potential. We believe that attaining life-fulfilling careers begins with uncovering the limitless pathways scholars can achieve by making resources and professionals more accessible. ELP Bx traces its roots to the start of the pandemic. We began at one high school with 14 inaugural scholars and in a few short years, the program blossomed with a reach covering five high schools serving more than 450 scholars in the So. Bronx. We now offer a progression of 3 programs: ELP Core, Internship, and Fellows Program. As of Spring, 2024, we will complete our 10th Core cohort, 3rd Intern Program and continue with our second year of our inaugural Fellows Program. Across these programs, we serve roughly 250 scholars per year. Our growth and innovations reflect the intellectual curiosity and ambitions of the scholars we serve as they search for new ways to broaden their horizons and share their gifts. Show less
