  The project aimed to eradicate invasive rats from Green Island, Antigua, to facilitate the recovery of the critically endangered Antiguan racer snake and protect many species of threatened sea birds. My duties included: monitoring the health and abundance of the Antiguan racer snake (including mark-recapture using PIT tags), track cutting and general maintenance of island, dispersal & monitoring of rat bait. I coped with very physically demanding work in harsh conditions on a very isolated island. Show less
