      Senior Project Manager

Project Manager and Lead Engineer for environmental remediation, rehabilitation and demolition projects in locations around the country, with primary assignments Los Alamos, NM and Oak Ridge, TN. Highlights include decontamination and demolition of a Cold War-era 5,000-ton hydraulic press and the seven-story building structure built specifically to house it. Located in Technical Area 3 of the Los Alamos National Lab (LANL) and constructed in 1954, the building contained the 1.4-million-pound press, high-temperature furnaces, and a large ventilation system required to perform materials and classified radiological materials testing. The building and press disassembly required detailed hoisting and rigging and critical lift planning and used a 300-ton crane to remove the radiologically contaminated elements, some of which weighed over 80 tons.
