Key achievement:Prepared the Non-food department of one of the placement stores for relaunch following conversion of the store from Superstore to Extra format; this included managing 50 team members and managers across 4 sections and leading the improvement of customer measures to achieve an excellent rating from the Format Director.       Accountable for the integration and control of projects in the plan to deliver the London Mail Centre Infrastructure and Rationalisation Programme. This Programme affected 100 sites, impacted 6,000 jobs and generated a business saving of £200M. Key Achievement:Delivered a product based project implementation approach with stakeholders to refocus deployment at one of the major Programme sites where local and wider Programme delivery was at risk. Engaged key stakeholders and rebaselined the project plan to ensure on time product delivery; and as a result delivered the successful migration of mail to the site, and kept the wider programme interdependencies on track. Show less Accountable for managing operational teams in 2 areas within Royal Mail, including a team in a delivery operations unit, and a shift team utilising new automated machinery at a large Mail Centre.Key achievement:Initiated the use of continuous improvement activity which improved the sorting effectiveness on the new machinery by 7% across all shifts. Subsequently seconded to the project delivery team for the wider roll out of the new machinery; writing vertical start up programmes for the local teams, sharing best practice and delivering training. Responsible for the ownership of a portfolio of projects; proactively engaging the client, influencing high profile projects, managing team involvement, driving activity across internal departments, managing escalations and interdependencies. Key Achievement:Delivered a challenging major revenue assessment project by negotiating with the client to agree strategic and operational improvements. The changes allowed the client to give concurrence to the project, which importantly limited risk to a key client relationship whilst leveraging the optimal outcome for Post Office. Volunteered for redundancy during a management restructuring Programme; left the Post Office at the end of February 2015 and enjoyed 7 months travelling around Africa, Asia and South America before starting a new role with Amazon UK. The resulting reduction to the project pipeline was between 3 and 14 weeks for each branch which saved £2M, improved Agent feedback and contributed significantly to the successful fulfillment of the 2013-14 Programme target.
