  Gail Elliot, Gerontologist, Author, Educator and Dementia Specialist, is the Founder and CEO of DementiAbility Enterprises Inc. Gail retired from McMaster University in 2012, and launched her new innovative business with depth, breadth, passion - and compassion. Gail's vision is to change the face of dementia - by focusing on exposing the abilities of those living with dementia. DementiAbility focuses on supporting people with dementia in an environment that has been set up for success. Gail's goal is to enable individuals to be the best that they can be by helping care partners understand the important connections between the brain, life story, environment and behavioural outcomes. DementiAbility focuses enriching lives, with the objective of adding meaning, purpose, dignity, joy, choice, enhanced self-esteem and success to each and every day. Gail has integrated multi-disciplinary evidence into her work, and created education and resources for both professionals and family care partners. She has also created a wide variety of resources for the care partner and for those living with dementia.
