  • Elected as the President and official spokesperson of UBC Student’s Union of Okanagan by 10,706members.• Established and improved relationship with the city of Kelowna and provincial government, while workingin partnership with other student unions across BC. Our lobbying efforts lead to BC’s first-ever BCAccess Grant for our members along with the elimination of interest on student loans.• In order to create a platform to promote effective communication between student representatives andstudent body, I held monthly town halls to hold my board accountable, transparent and effective. I spokeat over 50 public events including, the incoming class of 2019 with an audience of 3,000 students and asa panellist with the Lieutenant Governor of BC, Janet Austin.• Established a food bank for the most vulnerable and food-insecure demographic of Canada, students. Ihave been interviewed by CBC radio, Kelowna now, Castanet, Okanagan Edge, Kelowna Capital Newsand a few other media outlets in regards to this project and many others.• In light of the pandemic, I lead our organization to establish one of the first emergency bursary programsin the entire country, we raised over $700,000 to aid our students in need of assistance.
