  • Working within the Clean Combustion Centre at KAUST. Responsible for creating an innovative web-based collection of simulations required for undertaking work in the Chemical kinetics field. The work is the combination of nearly 10 years of research within the center.• The main customer and funding source for the project was Saudi Aramco• Initially tasked with improving the usability of the CloudFlame website and taking it from a collection of research items into a start-up business• Research and identification of requirements for the system, which were combined into a new technical design proposal. The document was used to apply for a start-up grant from Saudi Aramco / KAUST partnership and the project was awarded a six-figure sum• Running of a project team, which comprised 3/4 developers, two testers and two PhD students• Implementation of a Python REST API to communicate between the from-end and the back end, highly resourced, Linux simulation server• Overseeing, mentoring, and developing in Python, Drupal 8.0 (PHP) and front-end code (JavaScript and CSS)• Work was completed using an Agile SCRUM methodology Show less
