    • Freelance

      Jul 2020 - Aug 2021
      French Language Tutor

***Please note that I no longer offer tutoring services as I am currently a full-time student myself. Fun Fact ✏️My French experiences encompass not only living and working in France, but also working for Quebecois enterprises in Canada. My teaching approach highlights the differences between the French you hear in Europe, and the Quebecois you hear in my beautiful country of Canada! Languages I grew up with a parent who spoke fluent French, and I owe my passion for language acquisition to my family. I started studying French in an academic setting in high school, and continued with a French minor at Mount Holyoke College, where I was awarded the Sylvia S. Hubbell '39 Book Prize and French Department Francophone Book Prize for excellence in French. I have lived and worked in Chantilly, France as a stagiaire for the Chateau de Chantilly, and I have lived and worked in Marseille, France as an English teaching assistant for a preschool and elementary school. In Canada, I have held multiple bilingual positions providing communication and translation services for Quebecois clients. Education 🎓I graduated from Mount Holyoke College magna cum laude with high honors, Phi Beta Kappa, with a B.A. in Art History and French. My Phi Beta Kappa award was for my senior thesis, in which I curated my own temporary and permanent art exhibition for the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum, and the Joseph Allen Skinner Museum. Teaching 👩‍🏫I have worked with children and adult learners teaching a variety of topics including art & art history, French, English, and horse back riding. Most recently, I was in Marseille, France teaching preschool and elementary students English. One of my favorite memories was playing the Hokey Pokey with the pre-schoolers - they loved it so much that it became a part of our daily morning routine! My experience in Marseille solidified my passion for language learning, and I am excited to bring that same passion to your child as well. Show less
