      •Oversee NEOP Grant which reaches 7,000 individuals annually through nutrition education, easier access to fresh foods, and partnerships promoting healthier lifestyles •Manage a team of 4 nutrition educators. Responsibilities include providing guidance on program implementation, preparing and providing staff performance evaluations, and assessing staff strengths to best promote highest quality of work •Responsible for planning, managing, and administering the State grant objectives and determining long term strategy and direction (at least 3 years) for activities in NEOP integrated work plan (IWP) •Monitor and develop annual NEOP budget of $700,000 and complete fiscal grant reports as required. Budget includes staffing, resource allocation and, programs related to nutrition education and community gardens•Lead County Nutrition Action Plan where programs impacting health outcomes of low resource San Mateo County residents meet to identify and address shared priorities to help maximize resources •Manage partnerships with program sub-grantees and provide guidance on meeting contract deliverables and adherence to funding requirements•Manage key strategic and collaborative partnerships which work towards improving health outcomes in the community resulting in improved school wellness through community gardens and nutrition education during classroom instruction•Represent San Mateo County on the Bay Area Nutrition and Physical Activity Collaborative which creates solutions that improve nutrition through education around decreased consumption of sugar sweetened beverages•Serve on the San Mateo County Food Systems Alliance, a group of community leaders focused on creating a better future for farms, people, and the environment•Oversee the implementation of the Healthy Communities in Excellence in Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity Prevention Assessment, a tool for collecting and measuring food quality, availability and affordability in low-income communities Show less
