  I was hired early in the construction of the Tailem Bend Solar Farm project as the Mosel team required an extra hand to keep up with increased site demand.I relocated from Adelaide to Murray Bridge immediately.Primary tasks:-Use a Trimble GPS to mark out datum points and offsets, within +-10mm, for various planned infrastructure.-Record the position of underground cables, conduits and HV wire.-Assist lead surveyor with substation works.-Respond to call outs across site to interpret and communicate site dataI would keep track of progress around the site to keep tasks balanced, performing duties before being asked to do so when possible.The first day I was introduced to the different operations around the site and later put to work assisting another surveyor marking out planned racks and offsets for the solar panels. After a day of induction to the site, tasks and equipment I had gained enough confidence to work with minimal supervision.I was always eager to take on new roles and eventually Site conditions:-Marking methods involved marking paints and burying flagged pickets, often requiring a hammer drill to place pickets where needed-Long shifts-Working in extreme weather conditions-Unstable/rocky terrain-Repetitive work and no room for error Show less

  Undergoing his 100 day placement at the Australian Industrial Transformation Institute,Familiarising himself with the emerging technology of Collaborative Robots, he self-taught and gained valuable experience operating and programming the Doosan M1013 Cobot, provided to Flinders by DiverseCo.A wine serving Cobot system was produced (details will be available in projects at a later date), some demonstrational applications were developed as an attraction to display the Cobot within the high foot traffic Digital Transformation Lab. Daniel also developed professional communication skills, CAD drafting experience and 3D printed multiple value adding parts for the Digital Transformation Lab.This placement lead to an internship position being offered by DiverseCo, to attend during my final year of study.   During my time I faulted and repaired a Doosan M1013 Collaborative robot.Researched unsupported operation of the OnRobot Eyes.And from scratch, created a program allowing the operation of OnRobot Eyes with Doosan Cobots through Modbus TCP.After which I was offered a casual position to setup and program robotic vision tasks, utilising the OnRobot Eyes.
