  As Senior Manager of the Technology team, i lead the team to solve a critical business problem of arresting revenue leakage due to non renewal of expired contracts. Verizon had a huge backlog of contracts that were not renewed on time causing potential customer churn and unpredictable revenue stream. Me & My team quickly studied the problem and came with a tool which would shave off 30 days from the contract renewal negotiation cycle. The tool made the process of gathering existing inventory of customers in just few clicks and then provided a renewal pricing along with Up-sell / Cross-sell recommendations to help the sales team for their negotiation. We launched the MVP version of the tool within 2 months and in the 1st year & for next 3 years we processed close to $1B worth of renewals each year and brought 95% of our revenue under contracts. This tool was called by the Ajay Waghray, CIO Verizon Enterprise Solutions as the Innovation of the Year and I got the Verizon Performance Excellence Award from Chris Formant, President & CEO of Verizon Enterprise Solutions. Show less As a Technical Lead I took complete ownership from concept to delivery of an eBonding channel for Wholesale and System Integrators like Savvis/HP etc.. by working directly with the IT departments in their Organizations. This is first of its kind in the industry wherein we built an unified interface to accept orders directly from multiple wholesale customers in multiple different formats and process it through our OSS/BSS stacks. This interface has now become the standard interface to even accept Enterprise Orders through the eCommerce channel within Verizon. Show less I was engaged in a key Technical Re-Architecture project. We had two Ordering workflows named IOM and RX. One was a Thick Client and other was thin client and the back end business process was in c++. They used a third party software called Roguewave for DB connectivity that was very costly and the other ordering platform was in J2EE. We rearchitected the entire back end Component in J2EE. I took lead on laying the ground framework which the developers could use to migrate the application without duplicating the code and also having a scalable architecture. Show less
