  In 2006 I was assigned the tooling and fixture determination and acquisition for the Final Cab, Dashboard Trim and Offline business units, as well as the project management, handling of budget assigned to these areas from Corporate and RFQ’s formulation. Main projects I handled included: a new Touch-up building with tooling and installations (gas, electricity, fire protection system, maintenance cat-walks, automatic rolling doors, lighting and compressed air); a new 30-Cab shallow-tow conveyor with a sharp U turn; the relocation and reconfiguration of the whole Final Cab line; the installation, setup and tune-up of a new truck steering alignment system; the creation and launch of a system so as to build up the pneumatic nylon-hose harness for the chassis regardless the length or position of valves and tanks by using a frame drilling report; the relocation of production of Columbia dashboard from Portland to Mexico, and the transfer of manufacturing heavy duty trucks Western Star from Portland to Santiago, Mexico. I also took part in courses and workshops in Oregon and the Carolinas (USA) five times. Show less For a nine-month period, I was in charge of the chassis frame production line that used to manufacture a mixture of 6 models of medium and heavy trucks with large customization among them. Later, I was given new responsibilities as a Shop Broadcast Specialist. Essentially, I was responsible for deciding and assigning the work station for any part to be installed throughout the plant, as well as managing, developing, updating and maintaining the digital and printed reports that were delivered to the different production lines so as to install all the parts accurately, such as a “recipe” for building customized trucks.   New Business Oportunities Engineer / Mechanical Designer / Manufacturing Engineer

  For the last months, I have been deploying advanced product and manufacturing engineering for interiors (instrument panel, door panel, center console, headliner, pillars and cargo), working with a cross functional team to quote new projects coming from potential new customers such as Honda, Polaris, Fiat, General Motors, Ducato, Volkswagen and Audi. I have been trained and taken part in benchmarking workshops in 6 Magna manufacturing plants in Germany, Austria, Belgium and the USA.Have carried out 3D mechanical design and geometrical analysis to fabricate, assemble, change over and adapt nests, assembly fixtures, secondary equipment, templates, dollies, racks and punch presses for implementing production of new projects coming from Chrysler, Fiat, Volkswagen and Caterpillar. Most of my designs have been machined in the in-house CNC mill machine and have promoted substantial savings for the company. I have also performed regular duties as a Manufacturing engineer in the Plastic Injection Molding, Paint and Thermoforming areas. Show less
