  As we operate on a follow-the-sun model, with support sites in 9 locations globally, there is no after hours on-call or mandated overtime in this role.Amazon has a fast-paced environment where we “Work Hard, Have Fun, Make History.” On a typical day, a cloud support engineer might thoughtfully work with customers to dive deep into the root cause of an issue, investigate why data is not processed correctly or optimizations that can be applied for faster data processing and save costs, consult with a diverse range of engineers at Amazon and discuss radical new approaches to automate operational issues.Tasks and Responsibilities: - Recognizes patterns & implementation problems by demonstrating frugality in daily operations and Security mindset & Policy Handling to meet customer use-cases. - Engage with customers to demonstrate Positive Customer Impact by showing customer obsession. - Uses the experiences of customers to drive new features or improvements for AWS Service/Support products in data processing such as:I. leveraging Apache Spark for faster job processing across multiple nodes running in parallel. ii. Integrating Ad-hoc queries that can perform SQL queries faster without the need to setup any infrastructures.iii.
