  Trainee building science student

  In 2012 I worked at WF Kroon Projects (Pty) Ltd as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor when I was still a varsity student. I was involved the construction of the Tonga mall in the Nkomazi area (Mpumalanga). I worked for a duration of a year (vocationally) familiarising myself with the construction environment and learning the site duties regarding quantity surveying and Construction management.

  In 2013 worked for Nkomazi Business Network building a community hall in Jeppe's Reef and in 2014/2015 I went to another project with this company where we were renovating the Mlumati FET college at Kamhlushwa. The job involved the construction of pergolas around 8 workshops and renovating them internally and externally. We also renovated the college hostel/student residence. I worked with this company for about two years and six months.

  I worked at Mantelane Construction cc as an Assistant Site Agent Constructing a 82m long bridge and a road (Road D4932) in the Bushbuckridge area/Dumphries. This was only a 10 months project and I was hired on a contractual basis. Therefore, when the project was completed I took a new job with Base Major Construction (Pty) Ltd.

  I worked as a Quantity Surveyor for Base Major Construction (PTY) LTD, in a DBSA funded project. we were extending the student residence at the University of Venda. The project value is +- 300 000 000 rands.

  I worked on the upgrade and rehabilitation of the K53 route from Steyn City to the N14. I occupied the role of a Senior Quantity Surveyor responsible for all quantity surveying and commercial roles on site.

  I am currently working for Basil Read’s Developments Department as a Property Development Manager in Savanna City. Savanna City is a mix use development that is supposed to yield a total of 18 399 residential opportunities, 14 schools, 6 commercial/retail areas, 12 parks, 8 churches, 3 municipal areas and a number of other facilities.I hold a National diploma in Building Science, a B-tech Degree in Quantity Surveying and I am currently completing my Master of Science (MSc) in Building Project Management degree at the University of the Witwatersrand. I have over 10 years’ work experience in the construction industry, and I am currently a Candidate Pr.CPM with the SACPCMP. Show less
