Specially-trained musician provides live acoustic music one-on-one, for therapeutic purposes. A Music Therapists work is focused on the patient with the aim of bringing in-the-moment comfort to the patient’s whole being—emotional, spiritual, mental, and physiological—simply by having the patient be in the presence of the music. Sessions are also run in the Sensory Room, working with a combination of stimuli to help individuals develop and engage their senses. These included lights, colours, sounds, home made musical instruments, sensory soft play objects, aromas all within a safe environment that allows the person using it to explore and interact without risk.
